Building upon the foundations created in the level 1 weekend, this training is designed to
prepare you to teach an expanded Restorative Yoga curriculum and further develop your ability to integrate Restorative asana into active yoga classes, individual programs for students or clients, bodywork sessions, and your own home practice. The curriculum will include lecture and discussion on restorative yoga science and philosophy, restorative yoga and the subtle (pranic) body, restorative yoga through the lens of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine 5 Element Theory, Pranayama (breath work) for Restorative Yoga, advanced hands-on techniques, and prop variations for different issues. We will practice and break down the more challenging restorative poses, which require comprehensive attention to detail, as well as explore practice sequences designed to balance the flow of prana through the meridians and chakras. Breakout sessions in smaller groups will allow you to integrate your new knowledge and experiences into your teaching.

~ Jump into a deeper exploration of basic and advanced restorative yoga asana
~ Examine the application of restorative yoga from an Ayurvedic and 5 Element perspective
~ Discover how restorative yoga practice affects the subtle (energy) body and can lead to
greater health and vitality
~ Learn and practice advanced hands-on assists
~ Practice Restorative Yoga teaching
~ Receive individual feedback and coaching

Handouts will be provided. Please bring a yoga mat, pen and paper, photo manual from level 1 training, and eye pillow or wash cloth. Warm clothing layers and socks recommended.

This training can be applied towards 15 CE hours through Yoga Alliance.

Winter 2018 updates

One of my favorite tools is Restorative Yoga to create space for deep grounding, calm, and rejuvenation – qualities that I find to be quite useful when life is crazy and hard and exhausting. Over the past decade Restorative Yoga has brought me through some tough challenges. It has left me stronger, more capable, and more connected to what sustains me. I am incredibly grateful for these practices and it is one of my greatest joys in life to teach others how to share them with their friends, loved ones, and students. I have committed to sharing two Restorative Teacher Trainings in the first part of 2019:

Level 1 & 2 in February at the Freyja Project
and
Level 1 May 17-19 at Kindness Yoga Hilltop (save the date!)

***I also have a Level 2 Restorative Teacher Training coming up THIS WEEKEND Nov 30-Dec 2!*** Click here for a direct link.
